#1 Take Lincoln Ave west until you hit the Great Highway and take a left at light. Follow Great Highway along ocean to Sloat Blvd. (also follow signs for SF Zoo) and take left. There will be an entrance to Zoo parking on right, continue past that entrance and take your next possible right which will be Skyline Blvd. Then immediately take another right onto Herbst Rd and the Rec Center will be on your left. Follow the one-way Herbst Rd. around the turn and park anywhere along the road. The gymnasium is on the southeast portion of the property. #2 Take 280 South towards Daly City. Exit 19th Ave/ Brotherhood Way exit and follow Brotherhood Way signs. Follow Brotherhood Way until dead end at Lake Merced Drive and take right on to Lake Merced. Follow that for a couple of miles until you are approaching Sloat Blvd./ Skyline Blvd intersection. The gymnasium is just on the opposite side of the street as the lake and where Skyline Blvd meets Lake Merced you want to veer left and turn onto Herbst Dr. It is a one way that can only be accessed from Skyline. If you have crossed Sloat Blvd then you have gone too far and must turnaround. Troubleshooting: If you take Directions # 2 and get off on 19th Ave and somehow find your way on 19th Ave. instead of Brotherhood Way heading North do not fret, simply take a left on Sloat Blvd and then a left once you intersect Skyline Blvd. Then enter parking area with a right onto Herbst Dr. |

Booker T. Washington Community center can be reached very easily. From Masonic. Take Masonic over the hill where Masonic becomes Bush and turn right onto Presidio. 1 block and Booker T. is on left corner. From Downtown take Pine the entire way to Presidio Ave. Turn left and 2 blocks up on left corner is Booker T. From the Marina: 1. Follow Presidio Ave through the Presidio and after leaving the park follow Presidio until Sutter St. Booker T on your left corner. |
