| Description | Menlo-Atherton has a strong French program that covers six levels (I, II, III, IV, AP Language and Honors Literature). Students who complete two years of after-school French at Hillview should be able to place into French II (or even French III) at M-A and fully benefit from the upper level course at M-A. The first half of high school using then same curriculum as M-A high school. Open to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. Mireille Belloni, a native of France, has taught and directed French Language Programs in the United States for many years. An alumn of the Ecole Normale Supérieure, she also studied at the Sorbonne and at the University of Kent (U.K.). In the U.S., she has been on the language faculty of the University of Michigan, Middlebury College, and CSU. In recent years, she has taught French to K-12 students, either in after-school programs or as a year-long private tutor with the CNED. Besides her interest in languages, she likes music, theatre and tennis. Classes
