Game N: Winner-L vs Winner-M
Home Notes:
The Giants kept it close through 3 but the A’s poured in 6 runs in the 4th to put this one out of reach. Ellis got the start and he saved his most accurate pitching performance of the season for the playoffs, throwing over 60% strikes in nearly 4 innings of work. Jon smashed two hits and Javi had a nice steal at home but the Giants didn’t have their best offensive performance in this one. Coach Fernando tried to perform CPR on some of the Giants bats to bring them back to life but Dylan informed him his CPR technique was outdated. So it didn’t work. Defensively, Javi Jon and Lucas worked together to trap and throw out an aggressive runner on the base paths. Henry made a nice throw to 3B from CF for an out. And Nate, Lucas, Jon had a nice shallow RF-SS-3B relay, putting a season-long OF bucket drill to good use.
A wonderful Giants season comes to an end, but hopefully these great kids had a blast and made some golden lifelong memories. Coach Fernando and Coach Rafa are extremely proud of every single one of these kids. Go Giants!
