Issaquah 2-3-2-2- 9
E.Catholic 0-1-2-0- 3

Mikey Giannopulos won the opening face and eventually finished the opening possession himself on a simple alley dodge and rip to set the tone.

The defense came to play and was aggressive and physical from the get go. Nate Holbrook, Spencer Webb and James Rauch collectively sparked the defensive charge sandwiching EC offensive guys and putting several balls to the ground. When EC did break through Jordan Dondoyano was on point.

Giannopulos finished another solo effort at the end of the quarter and Issaquah made a final defensive stand to hold 2-0 at the end of the first.

In the 2nd quarter an early goal on the inside from Anthony O'Reilly after good ball movement and a feed from McKinley Melton had the Issaquah fans jumping! The ensuing faceoff win from Giannopulos led to a break and he fed Ryan Egland who pulled a last ditch behind the back that snuck in! The crowd went bonkers and had Issaquah flying high. Eastside chose to drop in to a zone and after some adjustments and failed attempts, Liam Colter made them pay with a solid low bouncer. 5-0 Issaquah! It seemed Issaquah might pitch a first half shutout, but a mistake on the offensive side led to a break for EC. Zach Steffens was able to face dodge at the point and get inside to bounce one in and get the Crusaders on the board.

EC struck first in the 2nd half as James Wehe slipped off a high pick to catch a feed from Bryce Atwater and zip it top shelf. Giannopulos got it right back with another alley dodge, another solo finish for the hat-trick! Crusaders came right back...Atwater to Steffens in tight.. back to a 3 goal game and looked might we might be in for some back and forth. Again, Giannopulos answered for Issaquah after patiently circling and choosing to invert he dodged hard from X to stuff it over Josh Matte. Issaquah led 7-3 into the 4th and never looked back.

Issaquah came out in the 4th super patient, methodically working the clock and looking to extend the league. After an extremely patient possession Riley Richards seemed a pass through to Jake Gonzalez for an absolute top shelf laser. Issaquah had regained their five goal advantage and it was all but good night. Issaquah was content to manage the clock the rest of the way and EC wasn't able to press so much of the clock was milked away. Ryan Egland put the exclamation mark on it finding the empty net as EC tried to double under 2 minutes!

A great win for Issaquah and a return trip to the Semifinals on the horizon!
