Home Notes:
Tough loss to a good young Issaquah team.

Riders led early, but Issaquah scored 4 in the second period to lead at halftime 5-2.

Issaquah stalled out in the second half and allowed the Riders to tie the game with 1:19 left in the fourth.

The Riders came up short in OT to end the best season ever!

Congratulations to the players, coaches and parents for working so hard to put a great season together. Special thanks and best wishes for the future to our seniors, Peter Bruckner, Tom Bobo and Peter Andersen.
Away Notes:
Playoff excitement at its best! Issaquah was much impressed by Riders team defense and tenacity on groundballs.

Teams traded goals in the 1st quarter and early in the 2nd. Then Issaquah went on a short spree scoring 4 unanswered, including a sweet Tierney to Hutch quick-stick and a Matusiefsky laser to the upper right corner. By halftime Issaquah had pushed to 5-2.

Game was far from over though as the Roughriders shut out Issaquah in the 2nd half for the first time all year. Issaquah clung to a 5-4 lead with under 2 minutes to go, but failed to clear the ball giving Derek Mills the chance to tie the game and he did.

Despite missing several opportunities to put the game away, Issaquah kept composure and battled back in OT. Craigh Cornelius grabbed a loose ball, sprinted up the right side and fed Jon Matusiefsky at the top of the box. The defense slid and Matusiefsky moved the ball to John Harty at about 6 yds out. Harty stuck the OT winner just as he did a year ago.

Freshman netminder Garrett Johnson played huge at times making 13 saves for Issaquah!
Great Ball Game!
