Location: Pine Valley 2
No league summary available Home Notes: This may have been the White Sox best game of the year. They struck for 6 in the top of the first and when Josh C got out of a 2nd and 3rd no out situation, it looked like it might be easy. This was highlighted by a nice tag by Pavin V at home. BUT nothing is easy in AA, and especially against a tested team like the A's. A couple of strong hits lead to 4 runs in the second for the A's and when they scored two more in the third, we were tied at 6. However, the White Sox scored 4 in the bottom of the third and 6 in the fourth. Then some fine defense held the A's at bay over the last three innings.
The lefty Ethan K made a huge put out from third to first to start the 4th. One of Jacob S' 3 putouts from shortstop was a deep hopper into the hole in which he snagged it, planted himself, and threw a laser to first to get a speedy runner.
The White Sox were led by some strong pitching. Robin D and Pavin V both came in for just the 4th time this year and combined to get 10 huge outs. Jacob S closed it out.
Patrick K had 3 hits. Jacob S, Ethan K, Adam P, and Sean K were each on base 3 times. Nick K had two strong hits and drove in a run his other time up.
The A's knocked off three teams while facing elimination. Good job, A's!!
