Just curious why the game today at Central Res. was re-located.
We stopped by to watch it but the field was locked, which we've never seen before. Thanks, Greg

Dear NOLL/SOLL families,
The first week of games have taken place and it is great to see all of the kids back on the fields again. Thanks to all of the volunteers, especially the coaches, who are working to create a great experience for all of our baseball players. There are over 25 games scheduled to take place at the AA, AAA and Majors level this upcoming weekend. There is also a chance that many or all of those games will get rained out.

Here is what you need to know about rain outs:
-Coaches will communicate to determine if a game can be played. If one of the two coaches decides that conditions are not suitable for a game, then the game will be rescheduled. Ideally, this is done 3-4 hours ahead of the game schedule. This is a difficult choice for coaches because the weather can change quickly. It is possible for the game to be cancelled on much shorter notice.

-Coaches communicate game changes to teams, usually by way of the Team General Manager. If your team is using a scheduling tracker that allows you to receive text messages, I strongly suggest you use that option.

-Some coaches will be ambitious and try to get games in when the conditions are not optimal. Our Field Coordinator has the right to shut down fields since players running around on a wet field can potentially do great damage to the field.

Weather is tricky in the Bay Area and we need the rain, so thank you for your patience this weekend. Be sure to communicate directly with your coach if you have any questions or concerns.

Regards,
DeAndre
