The league is beginning to consider player selection for Juniors and Seniors All-Stars.

In order to be eligible, a player must play in 60% of league games prior to June 15.The only caveat is if a player was participating in a high school season and then started late due to playoffs. In this case, only the games for which they are eligible count, and you calculate 60% of those games. For players who have not played for a high school during this period, the Phillies will have had 9 games, the Rangers 10, and the Yankees 8 - if you're not sure, consult us, and we'll confirm the number of games in which you must play. Games against Richmond and Pinole do not count toward the total.

If you are selected for Juniors All-Stars, your priority is to finish the Seniors season, playing as many games as you can with your Seniors team. You cannot skip a Seniors game to go to a Juniors All-Stars practice, for example. The first Juniors All-Star games for both NOLL and SOLL is June 30, which is the same day as our Seniors championship game - we are checking with the league to see which game players should attend. The District 4 Juniors All-Stars tournament culminates on July 11, and you will need to make yourself available for the games in between. Player availability does play a factor in All-Star selection.

If you are selected for Seniors All-Stars, the first game of the District 4 tournament is July 2, and the tournament runs through July 10. Our Seniors teams are generally pretty successful and make it to the second round (sectionals) and possibly the third (divisionals). This schedule can take you through the end of July. It's important that players are available for the duration, but we will be checking with kids who are being considered to determine if they are going to be gone during that period. In the past, we have managed to bring up someone who's gone in the early part to substitute for someone who's gone later, but we'd prefer to avoid this if possible, and player availability will play a factor in All-Star selection.
