Description
Advanced Baseball (AB) is pleased to offer a 2022 Fall Baseball Program for age eligible 13 and 14 year-old players (**players born May 1, 2008 thru August 31, 2010), and offers options for different levels of ability through both Gold and House teams. The lead instructors for the AB Fall program are Jon Zuber and Scott Tully, who will provide hands-on training and instruction.

The AB fall program will be primarily focused on development and not games. For the 13u's and 14u's, transitioning to the larger field and preparing for baseball at the next level is paramount. Leads, holding runners, where to be on the field, how to slide or dive after a ball, and even how to catch a fly ball will be taught in detail. This will be in addition to hitting, throwing, catching and defensive development. Regular inter-squad scrimmages during practice times will augment and reinforce these skills with competition and live pitching as players prepare for the Spring season and beyond.

Please refer to the LLL website for more information and the signup link to register, where you will also find the bios of our elite head coaches. Registration is now open. You will need to register by 5pm on Wednesday, August 10, and all players must attend evaluations on Sunday August 14 from 3:00 pm to 6:30 pm at Lower Comm. Specific evaluation slots will be sent after registrations close. All players living in the Lafayette Little League boundaries (including the entire cities of Lafayette, Moraga, and Orinda) are eligible.

Practices will be held at Acalanes High School, Las Lomas High School, Lower Community Park, and Upper Burton Valley.

Costs:
$275 due at registration for all players. If selected to the Gold teams, players will be responsible for the additional fee of $525. For those not familiar with AB, the AB program is for local 13 and 14 year olds who have "graduated" from Little League Majors, Pony Bronco, and 12u travel ball and want to compete in local leagues and tournaments. AB offers options for different levels of ability, accommodating both the all-star caliber player with advanced skills, as well as the less polished player who loves baseball and wants to continue developing skills. In either event, the program provides a more structured and disciplined environment geared toward preparing each player for the demands of baseball at the next level. Field sizes include 54’/80’, and 60’90’ (pitching distance/base paths).
