Team Summaries St. Matthew - Brady Notes:
For the second week in a row, St. Matthew-Brady won with great teamwork and excellent effort from all seven players. Scott Tezza led the way in scoring once again with 12 points. He played aggressively on defense and managed 4 rebounds. Conor Brady demonstrated strong play in all facets of the game, scoring 6 points, grabbing a team high 7 rebounds and playing great defense. Jake Lavender handled the ball well and had many assists, 6 rebounds and 3 points. Christian Chapman stepped up his defense and is an intimidating force in the middle of the defense. Christian also scored 4 points and grabbed 2 rebounds. No one on either team provided more hustle play than Drew Tomich. He was in the middle of just about every loose ball situation and had 4 rebounds. Likewise, forward Charlie Gantt was all over the court and got his hands on every loose ball or rebound that came near him. Charlie grabbed 4 rebounds...every one of them important. Hunter Wicker stepped up his game as well. His defense was excellent, his hustle terrific and although he is not the tallest boy on the floor, he fought for every loose ball and answered his coaches challenge to compete for every rebound, grabbing 2. All in all, the Wildcats are winning with team effort on both ends of the court, aggressive defense, great shooting and fighting for every loose ball. Next up: OLA at 8:30 on Saturday the 17th
