Mets Notes:
The Mets edged the Marlins in a closely played contest under sunny skies at Witter Field. The Marlins were handicapped by the absence of several players, and in fact had to field a team covering only eight positions this day.

Despite being short-handed, the Marlins took an early 3-0 lead. The Mets tied the game and then ultimately went ahead in the top of the sixth inning when Nigel C hit a triple and then scored on a wild pitch.

Mets pitching chores were shared by Charlie S (three innings), Nigel C (two innings and the win), and Michael G (two innings and a save).
