The Mets prevailed over a stubborn Rockies team that played far better than its won-loss record would indicate. The game was close until the final inning, when the Mets broke things open on a home run by Nigel C. Solid relief pitching by Charlie S. helped ensure the Mets' victory.

The Mets' performance also featured fine defensive plays by Charlie S., who cut down a Rockies' runner at home to complete a double play, and Markell G., who speared a bullet-like grounder to third and threw a strike to first base in the final inning.
