Team Summaries | Pelicans Notes: The Pels extend their previous good weekend into a bonafide streak, with their 3rd consecutive victory; Deuce Davis pitched 5 strong and helped himself throughout. In each of the first two innings, he picked runners off of first base to quell potential rallies. And with two outs in the bottom of the first, Deuce homered for the second time this season, a bomb to straightaway center. Other notable defensive plays for the Pels - Joey the Godfather took away a sure Astros RBI and probable extra bases with a stab of a liner at third base, and Killer Kyle was positioned perfectly for a 6U-3 double play in the 4th. The Astros received several strong innings from WilliamC, and a monster blast by GabeM brought in half their runs in the second inning. For the Pelicans at the plate, Andrew G took two for the team, and ET belted two singles and was on base all three at bats. Big Easy continued mashing the ball, but unfortunately he's been mashing them at defenders. His lone single, ironically a texas leaguer, brought home the game winning run in the third. Bulldog pitched the final two stanzas, allowing no runs. Astros Notes: |
