Game Summary | Giants hitters came to life in a game in which every player reached base. Strong pitching by Mikhael Gustin and Ryan Nyberg led the Giants, with each supplying offensive firepower to help their own cause. After Brandon Cruz barely missed a homerun off the center field fence, Gustin (4-for-4 at the plate) drilled a double to help Cruz score. This feat was repeated when the Brewers intentionally walked Cruz later in the game. Calvin Lloyd reached base each of his four at bats. The defense was anchored by Harrison Polston, Jordan Tennenbaum, Jake Shapiro, Nyberg and Cruz -- all making crucial defensive plays. The Brewers stayed close on the pitching of Daniel Killian and a smash over the centerfield fence by Clayton Dobbs. |
