| Game Summary | Pitchers Gabe Freund, Jason Finkelstein and Andrew Gabel limited the Tigers to four hits and three runs as the A's defeated the Tigers in each team’s regular season finale. With the tying run at the plate in the top of the sixth, Rico Tombari made a spectacular running catch of a Tiger smash deep in left center to end the game and seal the victory for the A's, winners of 15 of their last 16 games. Starter Grayson Nuti pitched well for the Tigers, and chipped in two hits and a run. | ||
