Game Summary | The Royals built a big lead and then hung on to beat the Tigers by a run. Joe Mercer earned the win for five strong innings on the mound, striking out seven against just two walks. The save went to Nick Wright who held the lead in the final frame. For the Tigers, Adam Austin pitched a complete game with five strikeouts. The Royals put together six base hits in their fourth inning rally, paced by Max Potter’s ringing double. The Giants got three hits from Grayson Nuti, including a triple, and two singles from Peter Counts. |
