| Game Summary | Joe M was masterful as he notched a complete game victory for the Royals with nine strikeouts and no walks. The Royals took a one-run lead in the first which held until the Sox knotted it in the fifth. In the bottom half, the Royals broke it open with five runs sparked by a double from hot-hitting Kris C (2-for-2), followed by hits from Willy F (2-for-2), Ryan M (2-for-3) and Nick W. For the Sox, Francis G, Royce T, Jake A, and Bobby S all had singles. Defensively, Elan B made an outstanding double play and Cody N went all five innings on the mound. | ||
