At the plate, the Royals scored three times in the first inning and then plated six runs – all with two outs – in the fifth. That inning included seven Royals’ hits, sparked by Kris Clemens’ double (his second hit of the day), Andy C’s two-run double (he also tripled) and a two-run homer off the bat of catcher Max P.
