Game Summary | The Royals broke a losing streak thanks to superb pitching by Andy C, who held the Angels to just two singles over four innings. At the plate, the Royals scored three times in the first inning and then plated six runs – all with two outs – in the fifth. That inning included seven Royals’ hits, sparked by Kris Clemens’ double (his second hit of the day), Andy C’s two-run double (he also tripled) and a two-run homer off the bat of catcher Max P. Nick W saved the shutout with two strong innings. The Angels’ hits came off the bats of Jack H and Michael McG. |
