Game Summary | In what might turn out to be this year's greatest pitching duel, Michael Knutson of the Red Sox pitched a complete game no hitter! He struck out twelve Royals while walking only two! His conterpart, Joe M of the Royals, pitched five complete innings and gave up only one hit while striking out five! The Red Sox scored their only run in the first when Andrew N reached base by being hit by a pitch, went to second on a passed ball, and scored on the only hit of the day by Red Sox catcher Jake L-Z who hit a hard single to centerfield. The Royals played errorless ball. |
