Game Summary | The Royals’ Joe M started the game and pitched strongly until he encountered some trouble in the fourth, when the A’s tied the score at three. Royals’ catcher Max P laced his third triple of the season to drive in two runs in the first, and Willy F pitched four scoreless innings to earn the win when he scored the winning run on a wild pitch in the bottom of the 8th. Notably, it was the Royals third extra-inning game of the young season. After giving up three runs in the first inning, the A’s Andrew G and Gabe F held the Royals scoreless for the next six innings. Alex M had a big triple driving in two runs for the A's. |
