Game Summary | The Sox won a cliff hanger in the 5th and 6th innings. After four innings of strong pitching, Louis P provided the margin of victory with a two runner homer in the fifth. Jake A's aided with strong defense, throwing out a runner at second in the fifth and holding the the foul tip third strike for the last out in the sixth. Elan B added a crucial defensive play, fielding a hard hit grounder to third and throwing to first for a rally killing third out. He also doubled, and Brennan P provided a single and a walk. Pitcher Eric R came in to save the game in the sixth. For the Giants, Ben K made his majors pitching debut throwing four plus strong innings. Jake S went two for two with a walk and his clutch pitching shut down the Sox rally in the fifth, giving his team a chance to win. |
