| Game Summary | BULLS SQUEAK PAST DEVIL RAYS On a warm Sunday (3/28/04) afternoon game at OAB #2, the BULLS squeaked by the Devil Rays 3-2. Pitching dominated the day. Starting BULLS pitcher Ben D-L. stuck out 8 batters in 3 innings allowing no runs. Will M, the Devil Rays starting pitcher also stuck out 8 in 3 innings allowing 1 run on an error. The BULLS led till the 5th inning when the Devil Rays tied the game, 1-1. The Rays pushed another run across in the 6th to take a 2-1 lead. Spencer M. struck out 7 in 3 innings for the Rays, & Khalif M. struck out 6 in 3 innings for the BULLS. The BULLS loaded the bases in the bottom of the 6th & tied the game on a throwing error. With 2 out, 2 strikes, & the bases loaded, Alex L. lashed a line drive into right field for the BULLS only hit of the day…to win the game! He was mobbed by his teammates. Spectators were treated to a fine game on this fine Spring day. |
