| Team Summaries | Red Mountain Lions Notes: The Lady Lions kicked off the 2005 post season with an 8-1 win over a young Desert Vista Thunder team on Saturday (4/23). The Thunder started the game off with some tenacious play and with lots of intensity which stunned the Lady Lions a bit. Once they adjusted and their nerves settled down, the Lions were able to settle into their groove and get some points up. Score at the half saw the Lions up 3-1. Kicking off the second half the Lions came out strong and did not let up. Red Mountain outscored their opponent 5-0 in the second half. Stand out play from seniors Brooke Holman (5 shots, 2g, 2gb) and Jane Evans (6 shots, 4g, 4gb) kept the offense rolling while senior Kristen Countryman (5gb) and freshman Lauren Mateer (6gb, 2ct) helped stave off the efforts of the Thunder offense.
