Pelicans Notes:
Good defense and better pitching on both sides meant that several runners were left in scoring position early, this was a tight 1-1 game through 4 innings. But we play 7 and sloppy defense and a pressing KC attack caught up with the Pelicans in the second half.

Notable defense by Cheerio (a long distance dime to thwart a runner attempting to steal second) and Gus (an unassisted double play) and Cheeks (a perfect short throw to nab a runner stealing home). Lots of loud contact, some of it for outs; extra base hits for Chipper, Bruiser and Gus.
