Another beautiful dry but chilly evening for lacrosse.

Lake Washington came out aggressive but smart on defense while organized and patient on offense, much improved from a year ago. Issaquah struggled to bust the seems offensively and when they did, Ethan Hirnle stood tall for the Kangs.
Eagles did manage to break the ice though as a patient feed from Tyler Morton found KJ Lewis. 1-0 Issaquah at the end of the first.

Rafael Bloch put in a rebound off another save from Hirnle to put Issaquah up 2-0 early in the second. It was only a matter of time before Carson Kramer tickled the twine for LW and he responded to put the Kangs on the board. Cale Gunter responded with a solo snipe of his own, but Kangs closed the half with a tally.

LW carried the momentum into the 3rd as another from Kramer tied it and then a transition goal put them ahead 4-3. No panic from the Eagles as they regrouped... one from Gunter and then back to back tallies from Michael Hyde. Issaquah closed the quarter with a big goal from Richard Skelly, a quick redirection off a feed from freshman, Jim vanEde that squeaked by Hirnle. That goal proved huge as Issaquah rode the momentum shift into the 4th. Hyde completed his track trick and then a big goal from Tyler Morton after some good ball movement, a dodge and feed from KJ Lewis.

Carson Kramer showed why he is a top prospect, scoring two in the 4th to keep Issaquah uneasy, but in the end, Gunter's domination at the faceoff X and Issaquah's depth of scorers proved the difference.
