| Team Summaries | Giants Notes: Jonny Lucas and Miles toed the rubber for the Giants. The Giants defense made several key plays behind them, limiting their errors to just 2 this game. Henry secured 2 IF popups at 2B and 3B, Jonny caught an IF popup on the mound to help himself, Lucas handled an unassisted inning ending fielder’s choice at 2B, Jonny and Henry connected for a 6-5 FC to get the lead runner, Miles and Christian teamed up for a routine 5-3 putout with ease, and Miles and Javi worked together to tag out a picked off runner. Offensively, Lucas started things off with an opposite field triple in the first, reaching home when Jonny knocked a hard ground ball that found a hole to LF, Owen and Caleb singled on little nubbers that stopped between infielders, Miles turned on a FB for a double down the LF line, Dylan hit one on the screws to LF but it was caught, Caleb twice ROE which proves good things happen when you put the ball in play and hustle, and Javi survived a 7-throw pickle and advanced 60 feet in the process. Great overall game for the Giants. But the real MVP was the photographer at picture day who complimented the Giants players for being the most photogenic team she saw all day … although Nate was convinced she probably said that to all the teams.
