Giants Notes:
Lucas set the tone early, allowing 1 hit and no runs in 3 innings pitched. Dylan followed with a gutsy performance when he made his LL pitching debut in any division. Javi threw more warmup pitches (8) than actual game pitches (6) when he shut a partial inning down in relief. And Jon earned the save as the closer.

Despite tallying a fair share of errors, the Giants made several quality defensive plays. Henry shagged a fly ball in LF, Javi caught an IF popup out of play, Lucas threw out an aggressive runner at home from CF, Jonny and Lucas both made hard hit grounders to SS look like a routine plays, Javi and Henry connected to snub out a straight steal to 2B.

Offensively, Jon and Javi got multi-base hits, Ellis and Eddie reached on IF hits, Lucas hit two hard line drives that were caught, Christian got all of one that landed in the LF glove, Henry laid down a perfect sacrafice bunt for a crucial RBI, and Owen crushed a LL grand slam! Or as the scorekeeper likely marked it, a bases loaded single with a couple of errant throws on the same play.

Many things for kids to be proud of today, with lots of baseball in the coming days for opportunities to continue improving.
