Team Summaries	Giants Notes: It took a village of volunteer umpires to get through this game; 2 Barons assistant coaches and 1 Giants parent platooned calling balls and strikes, while youth umpire Felix L joined the crew on the bases once his team’s cage practice ended 200 feet away. This was a game of hard contact and moments of less than perfect defensive work on both sides to make for a high scoring exciting game where no lead was safe. A combined 44 balls were put into play in this fast paced barn burner, with each team tallying double digit hits and runs. For the Giants, Jonny Miles Lucas Owen Christian Caleb and Eddie each collected at least one hit a piece, highlighted by Caleb’s bases clearing line drive to LF in the bottom of the 4th. With the Giants ahead 16-9 at the end of 5, the Barons managed to knock in 6 runs at the top of last inning to bring it to within 1. But with 2 outs and the tying run at 2B, Miles punched out a dangerous Barons hitter to end the game. The Giants have nabbed 3 in a row so far in this fun-filled 5 games in 9 days stretch. Barons Notes: Great game and write up, Giants! Franco started the game for the Black Barons. The lefthander went one and one-third innings, allowing seven runs on three hits and striking out three. He started his last batter @ 48 and is eligible to pitch on Saturday 5/14. Despite a 7-run deficit in the fifth inning, the Black Barons almost came all the way back. The Black Barons scored six runs in the failed comeback on an error, a double by Eli, another error, and a double by Franco. Black Barons scored six runs in the sixth inning. The offensive firepower was led by Dante, Eli, Liam, and Franco, who all drove in runs. The Black Barons had 12 hits in the game. Franco led Black Barons Majors with four hits in four at bats.
