Thank you to Mercer Island for hosting this game. Your student body support and energy is awesome. What a great place to play a lacrosse game.
Close back and forth game from the start. Curtis got the game within in 1 at the 7:54 mark in the third and then Mercer Island adjusted the offensive and #17 Callum Iverson took matters into his own hands scoring 3 goals in a row in a 2 minute span. Curtis adjusted its defense, but the damage was done. and Callum finished the 5 goal unanswered with 4 of the 5 to end the quarter. Curtis 7 - Mercer 12.
The 4th quarter was in the favor of Curtis EXCEPT for Goalie #1 Eli Swerland. He had 5 saves in the quarter with 3 of them being stone cold one on one shutdowns.
Awesome game at a great venue with excellent fans. The officiating was excellent so a great night of lacrosse. Both teams should be proud of their play.
