Team Summaries Curtis Notes:
Thank you to Will Snider and the O'Dea team for coming down to UP to play us. It was an ugly night weather related, but a great battle on the field.

Curtis took on their second state championship team in a row to start the season and test their abilities. I am biased, but as Head Coach very proud of the play the boys are showing.

1st - Curtis 2 / O'Dea 1
Curtis came out of the gate and scored 1:30 into the game. Then played settled down and good defense was played on both ends of the field. The transition game was a battle from box to box. Curtis got a 2nd goal with 2:42 left in the first with a great dodge and shot by Scout Koch. O'Dea won the next face off and possessed and scored with 0:31 left in the qtr. to bring it within 1.

2nd - Curtis 3 / O'Dea 4
O'Dea won the face to start the quarter and scored 48 seconds into the 2nd to knot it 2. The Janicki brothers each put one in the back of the net over the next two minutes giving Curits the lead again. O'Dea answered at the 9 min mark then #19 Army committ, Ethan Linsay added two more at the 7:59 and 7:40 mark to go up by one. Curtis #15 Rocco Koch made it a family affair adding a goal at the 6 minute mark. The defensive battle, contested ball everywhere on the field continued till the half ended knotted at 5.

3rd - Curtis 1 / O'Dea 4
O'Dea came out of the locker room pumped up. They dominated the energy on the field putting in two goals in the first 4 minutes. They were swarming the ball everywhere on the field and road like wild men. Curtis settled back down and played better team defense, but O'Dea continued to dominate the energy level. Curtis put one in at the 1:49 mark, but O'Dea answered on the ensuing face off and then again with 0:32 left in the quarter to go up by 3 Curtis 6 - O'Dea 9

4th - Curtis 1 / O'Dea 1
The 4th was again a defensive battle with great transition and down low play by both teams. Both goalies made excellent saves. O'Dea scored at the 10:42 mark and Curtis answered at the 8 minute mark. Curtis continued to push on offense, but without results.

Final Curtis 7 / O'Dea 10

Thank you to Keith and Steve for officiating a fast passed, well played game by both teams.
