As the saying goes, 'Not the way we drew it up, but we'll take it!' Seemingly playing from behind all night long, Issaquah found a way to pull it out scoring 4 times inside the final 3 minutes, the last with just 11 seconds left to escape with a win and break a 4-game losing streak!

Down 2-0 early, Issaquah settled down and began the charge back. A couple early goals from Michael Hyde while junior LSM, Spencer Blumenthal did well pushing transition, twice finding TJ Victory for buckets. Newsflash, Redmond is even better in transition and senior, Zach Roper proved it his strength, scoring 3 times in the 2nd quarter to stake the Mustangs to a two goal advantage by half.

In the 3rd quarter, a big save and clear from Cody Liddle and a surprise goal from senior defensive midfielder, Steven Castro gave Issaquah a spark. Issaquah was still down one but seemed to carry momentum into the 4th.

That momentum was quickly killed with more from Zach Roper, causing turnovers, chasing loose balls and racing the length of the field to finish himself. His 5th of the night put Redmond up 11-8 with just under 3 minutes to play and Issaquah appeared to be toast. Lucky for the Eagles, Cale Gunter has a knack for winning faceoffs and despite a slow start, KJ Lewis came to life.

After Roper's final tally, Gunter won the face and Lewis quickly finished. Another faceoff win and this time Gunter finished himself. Timeout Redmond, but it didn't matter.
Faceoff win, Lewis again - tie ball game with just over a minute. Faceoff win, timeout Issaquah with just under a minute. Issaquah held for last shot and with 15 seconds left, Lewis dodged downhill and completed a two-minute hat-trick with just 11 ticks showing on the board. Gunter tied up the last faceoff long enough to finish the clock and the comeback was complete!
