I like that Ezra's strike zone was too big rather than too small, but there were a few that went too far - several pitches over the heads of batters were called strikes (for both teams; there was no noticeable strike zone bias). But Ezra was clearly blinking when pitches came in, mostly evidenced by the fact that they missed several foul ball calls badly (there were several pitches that were called foul even though the bat never touched the ball, and at least one where a swinging strike 3 was called on a ball that should have been called foul).

Ezra's handling of ground rules was very good.

There was one cringe-worthy moment, however, when Ezra told a runner at home plate that he had to slide. Not only is that incorrect, but it can put the league in an awkward situation legally if a kid gets hurt as a result of that.
