Team Summaries | Diamondbacks Notes: Doc had homered, the Deacon was dealin' and things were lookin' fine until the 3rd, when the bases were suddenly full of Reds, strikes got hard to come by, and the D'Bax defense turned to hands of stone. But a call Downtown put out the fire, as Bigfoot came in and held the Reds to just one run over the next two innings. Some great defense from Kayo deep in sunny left field and pegging a runner at home, along with solid shortstop play from Doc, Nikoh, and Eli helped keep the Reds in check. Still, it was 6-1 until Eli and Doc drove home runs in the 3rd to halve the lead. The Reds led 7-3 going to the bottom of the fifth when home runs from Kayo and Ryan tied the score. D'bax tallied four more in the bottom of the 6th on a leadoff single from Niko, 3 consecutive singles from Eli, Doc, and Kayo, then a booming 2-run triple from BigBird. Eli worked a strong two innings to earn the save and help the D'bax improve to 5 & 3 overall. Reds Notes: |
