Diamondbacks Notes:
This was a close game most of the way, D'bax clinging to a 2-0 lead after 4, on the strength of a 2-run HR by Doc in the 1st. D'bax got 3 more in the top of the 5th after Nikoh walked, Jake singled, Eli singled them home then scored himself on Kayo's double. Meanwhile, BigBird was in control out on the mound, striking out 7 through 5 innings and allowing only 3 hits. The D'bax scratched across another couple runs in the 6th to make it 7-0. The D'bax bats roared to life in the 7th, scoring 9 runs on 10 hits. Doc came on to close out the game and preserve the shutout, with a backhand stab of Kyle's line shot up the middle to end it.
