For the second weekend in a row, the Pels called Big League Chu's number on Saturday, and for the second weekend in a row, he pitched a strong 5 innings... On a typically idyllic afternoon at Piedmont's Witter Field, both teams opened playing a crisp defensive game. Strong baserunning ruled the day, with the Pels and Cubbies both stealing several bases and staying out of the dreaded force.

TaharkaT inherited the lead Bryce built and pitched like a veteran - allowing a few baserunners but only one run to seal the deal. The game ending play was a pickoff from Elmer to Big League at second base to catch a napping Cubbie.
