| Team Summaries | Wahoos Notes: Hits and runs were a scarce commodity in this pitchers’ duel, which – like so many Wahoos games – came down to the final outs of the last inning. Harlan, Maxie, and Isaac combined to twirl a gem, walking just 3 batters while striking out 14 over the course of the game. They were helped out by nice defensive work by Etienne and Zach (who caught a key fly ball to left field). Facing the solid pitching and defense of the Express, the Wahoos had to manufacture their runs. Austin, Ben, and Isaac (two doubles) led the offense with sizzling hits to the outfield, but it was two steals of home – Etienne’s in the fifth inning and Maxie’s in the sixth – that put the Wahoos on top by a slim margin.
