Wahoos Notes:
A week after their rain-drenched battle last Sunday, the Wahoos had a rematch with the Bulls, this time under beautiful sunny skies. A great team performance allowed the Wahoos to prevail in this four-inning game. Some fine contributions to note: Austin had a great pitching debut, blanking the Bulls to close out the game, and lined a key RBI single; Ben as pitcher shut down the Bulls to start the game; Jack bashed another hit to the outfield; Harlan smashed the ball over the outfielder’s head for a triple; Kobe had a brave debut on the mound, and later scored a triple by utterly demolishing a ball to center field; Maxie as catcher threw out another baserunner at second base (his 3rd caught baserunner of the season); Lucas deftly fielded a sharp grounder to third and whizzed the ball to first for the out; and Ollie gave a strong, strike-heavy pitching performance that turned the momentum of the game, in addition to making a superb play at shortstop.
