| Team Summaries | Wahoos Notes: Blue Wahoos 8, Bulls 7 What a way to start the season – with a thrilling, rain-soaked, seesaw battle that went into extra innings. For the Blue Wahoos, there were many players who should be recognized as the heroes of the game: Austin, for sparking the offense with two smash hits; Beckett, for pitching a 1-2-3 inning and making a nice defensive play on the mound; Etienne, for head’s-up baserunning and for covering second base and making a terrific tag on a steal; Harlan, for two great innings as pitcher and two big hits, the second of which led him to score the winning run; Isaac, for pitching a shutdown seventh inning and, as third baseman, making a running catch on a foul ball; Jack, for a sweet hit; and Maxie, for throwing out two baserunners out at second base as catcher and two fine innings as pitcher. In the end, through a great team effort, the Wahoos pulled out a dramatic victory against a hard-battling opponent. Bulls Notes: |
