| Team Summaries | Emerald Ridge Notes: Sumner 3-5-2-3:13 OT 1: 14 Emerald Ridge 3-2-4-4:13 OT 0:13 Another great Puget Sound game Friday night between D1 Sumner and D2 Emerald Ridge. Both teams battled hard to a Q1 tie 3-3. Sumner came out in Q2 and gained an 8-5 halftime advantage. ER offense caught fire in Q3 to close the gap to 1 goal by end of Q3. Q4 saw Sumner go 3min man down for illegal stick giving ER the opportunity to strike for 4 Q4 goals, scoring the game tying goal with just over 60 seconds to play. ER had an opportunity to win the game with 20 seconds, Matthew Padilla (ER) save, outlet pass to Zane Brown (ER), fast break....but just ran out of time. OT face off, ball ends up in Sumner possession, a scrum ensues on a GB in front of ER crease as Henry Echterncamp (Sumner) picks up the ball and a quick game winning goal. Really a hard fought game by both teams, hate to see a looser in this one. Sumner Notes: |
