Rockhounds Notes:
Great game by both teams today! Both teams came out swinging the bats. Rockhounds jumped out to a 3-0 lead on a 3 run HR by Jayson. The River Dogs were able to put a 5 spot up in the bottom of the 1st off of Wade. Wade pitched is heart out but was just unable to get out of the inning. The Rockhounds were held scorless in the top of the 2nd on a great defensive DP by the River Dogs. Isaac threw 2 great innings holding the River Dogs to just two runs. Jayson hit his 2nd 3 run HR in the top of the 3rd to help the Rockhounds to a 5 run inning and an 8-7 lead. The Rockhounds had another 5 run 4th inning to take a 13-7 lead. Ishaan came in to pitch the bottom of the 4th. He was able to record one strike out and got a nice FC at 3rd base to get the second out. The elusive 3rd out was just not meant to be as Noah H. made a diving attempt in CF to catch a flyball that just trickled out of his mitt. Final Score 13-12. Two game balls were given today. One to Jacob for a nice catch on defense. And of course one to Jayson for the 2 HR and 7 RBI.
