| Team Summaries | Lugnuts Notes: In today’s game, the Lugnuts played well on all fronts – pitching, fielding, and hitting. Our pitchers – David, EJ and Kellen – were remarkably effective, rarely walking batters and keeping the ball generally in the infield. (The Sea Dogs were good hitters and made lots of contact.) In terms of fielding, there were two great plays: the first a double play initiated by EJ’s tag of a passing runner, the second a lightning relay from left fielder (Zach) to shortstop (Maxie) to catcher (Elijah) that got the out at home. Up and down the lineup, the Lugnuts batters made strong contact with the ball and kept the basepaths busy – and defeated a tough foe. Sea Dogs Notes: |
