| Team Summaries | Diamondbacks Notes: The D-Backs played a complete game on a cold Tuesday night at Caldecott Field. Mac Forrester pitched 3 innings in his first start of the year and recorded 6 strikeouts and allowed no runs. John pitched the next two innings only allowing 2 runs and recording 4 strikeouts. Jake the closer allowed no runs and struck out one in the final inning. Just a great pitching performance! On offence we recorded 8 hits with Jake and John each getting two hits. Joaquin and John each hit doubles. Noah laid down a perfect bunt and Bobby and Gabe each got one hit as well. On defense, Jack stopped a hard grounder to first for a force out and then threw to Noah at second for the double play attempt. Noah squeezed the pop up hit to short-stop for the final out of the game. We only let one ground ball through the infield in the entire game. Lets all get ready to play solid defense against the Sounds in round two of the playoffs. Devil Rays Notes: |
