| Team Summaries | Diamondbacks Notes: It was a tight game with a score of 2 to 1 D-Backs after two innings and 3 to 1 after three for this Mothers Day special. Defense in this game was provided by the pitchers who recorded 13 strikeouts of the total 18 outs. Mac pitched 3 innings and recorded 6 K’s in his first three inning pitching stint. In the 4th Mac struck out the side. Great job Mac! Jack tossed 2 innings and recorded 5 K’s. Jake was the closer recording 2 K’s in one inning and looked strong. All ground balls were fielded cleanly by the D-Backs except one. The call on this play could have gone in either direction after John made a strong second effort for the tag. Way to not give up John! On offense Daniel hit his second home run of the season. This line-drive shot was an inside the park HR with no overthrows. Daniel and Carl each went 3 for 3 at the plate. Joaquin continues to record hits at the plate going 2 for 4 with a long fly out to center field in his last appearance in the 5th. Daniel recorded 4 RBI’s, Mac had 3 RBI’s and Carl had 2. Jake’s base running continues to create havoc for our opponents, stealing home yet again. It appears the rain-man has finally gone away and the D-Backs are primed for a run at the title.
