Diamondbacks  Notes:
The D-Backs defense continues to improve each week. We are backing up throws, stopping hard hit ground balls for outs and making catches in the outfield that we were not making the first part of the season. Just some of the many highlights on defense were, Adam’s two long running catches in the outfield and Bobby’s catch in center. Daniel fielded a hot grounder and made a rocket throw to Mac at first base. Noah and Bobby’s made strong plays at second base and Jack stopped two hard grounders hit back to the pitcher for outs.

On offense the D-Backs collected a total of 14 team hits with Mac and Jack each going long for doubles. Joaquin continues to remain on a hitting streak going 4 for 4 at the plate. Malcolm went 2 for 3 with 1 RBI. Adam batted 2 for 4. Several players had multiple RBI’s in this game. Mac, Jake and Bobby each had 2 RBI’s. Joaquin and Jack each had 3 RBI’s.

Pitching was one of the best performances of the year. Jack pitched three innings, striking out 3 and allowing 4 runs. John had his best outing of the year in the 4th allowing no runs and striking out 2. Jake the closer struck out 2 in two innings of work and allowed 4 runs.

The next game is the very tough Sugar Kings Wednesday night at Golden Gate Field.
