Team Summaries | Diamondbacks Notes: What a nail biter of a game. The D-Backs rallied in the bottom of the sixth for a bases clearing game winning triple by Daniel. Malcolm drove in 2 of the D-Backs 5 runs. In the second Jake playing catcher picked off a runner steeling second. Noah made a difficult stop on a hot grounder and tossed out the runner at first. On a high throw to first Mac knocked the ball down and then pegged the runner out trying to take second base. Carl ended the top of the 6th inning with a long fly ball catch in center field. Pitching was accurate but not overpowering in this early morning game. Jack recorded 5 strikeouts in three innings of work. Mac recorded 3 strikeouts in the 4th and 5th innings of work and made a good stop on a ground ball to toss the runner out at first. Jake the closer recorded 2 strikeouts in a nine pitch final inning. Coaches Glenn and Jeff have never coached a team where two players, Adam and John, each lost baby teeth during the game. John thought in the 6th inning he could be loosing a second tooth. The coaches are still checking the official rulebook what to do if a player looses two teeth during a game. Devil Rays Notes: |
