Diamondbacks  Notes:
The D-Back bats were hot on this cold Monday night game at OAB that was played until total darkness. The final score reverts back to the 5th inning as the game was called at the bottom of the 6th inning with two outs. The D-Backs recorded 15 base hits by nine different players. Jake, Joaquin, Gabe, John, Bobby and Daniel all hit doubles in the game. There was strong power hitting for extra bases throughout the line up in this game.
Team defense was good except for the 4th inning where three team errors let the Islanders mount a comeback, but the D-Back bats remained hot in the top of the 5th and the comeback was turned back.
Jake did a great job pitching the first three innings holding the Islanders to 3 runs while striking out 6. John pitched the 4th when one fielding and two throwing errors forced the D-Backs in effect to record six outs. John kept hurling and never gave up. John recorded 1 strikeout in the fourth. Great focus John! Jack was the closer for this game and struck out the side in the 5th inning, which in effect was the end of the game. The D-Backs are on a winning streak and face off against the Cannons this Sunday at Caldecott. The Cannons won their game Wednesday night so this should be a great game to come to the ballpark and watch.
