Diamondbacks
Game one v the Dodgers

If we erase one inning on defense the game was up for grabs. The D-Backs have many positives to build upon. We had some mammoth hits. Some solid (and not so solid) fielding plays, both on the infield and outfield and most of all, the team NEVER GAVE UP and had a good time, showing great sportsmanship to the end. The D-Backs have a rematch with the Dodgers on Sunday May 25 so mark your calendars!

The D-Backs had 14 hits vs the Dodgers. Joaquin Alamillo had 3 singles. Jack Humphrey had 2 doubles, a single and pitched two strong innings. Bobby Stauffer was alert for every pitch in the field, had 2 singles and pitched the final inning. Carl Hendrickson had 2 singles and a triple. John Marcuzzo was successful with a long throw from 3rd to 1st for an out and had a triple. Adam Kreutzer, Noah Williams and Mac Forrester all had singles. Mac pitched very well in a tough relief appearance. Daniel Yabrove made a big catch in the outfield. Great heads up play! Carl, Jack, Joaquin and John all had 2 RBI’s apiece.

We'll be working on base-running a lot at practice today, both from the offensive and defensive side and with a little work we should see some good results from this team in the very near future!
