Game Summary The Grays and the Canadians squared off in the AA Playoff Championship Game for what turned out to be a real barn burner. The Canadians took charge early by scoring a run in each of the first three innings. The Grays came up big in the top of the fourth when Willie Devaney poked a shot into right center that drove in three runs to tie the game. The Canadians answered back in the bottom of the fifth with a double by Sam Zabb-Parmley that sent his brother Matthew to third. DarAmani Swift drove the pair home with a hit through the right side of the infield. The Canadians went into the top of the sixth with a two run lead and the champagne on ice. The Grays come out swinging with the top of their order. Alex Rollins smacks a double to drive in Kai Henderson. Two outs, full count, tying run on second – Pete Stathakos rips one to deep center field to send the tying across the plate. Bottom of the sixth with the score tied Eli Johnson draws a walk. Jack Hyland drives one into left field scoring Johnson for the winning run. Excellent pitching was provided by both teams with only five walks and one hit by pitch the entire game. Alex Rollins and Kai Henderson pitched three innings each for the Grays and DarAmani Swift, Cameron Wong and Alex Bretow combined to pace the Canadians. Leo Grossman and Pete Stathakos both had two hits on the day to provide the offensive punch for the Grays. Sam Zabb-Parmley, DarAmani Swift and Alex Bretow had two hits apiece for the Canadians. Jack Hyland was a perfect three for three at the plate for the Canadians.
