The Mudcats rallied for three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to edge the Desert Dogs in an AA playoff game. The Desert Dogs had fought back from a 7-0 deficit to take a 9-7 lead in the top of the sixth, with Kevin Del Fante contributing a bases loaded triple. Strong pitching from the Desert Dogs' Sam Edie, John Tierney, and Noel Rodriguez, who also drove in the Dogs' first two runs with a fifth inning homer, held the Mudcats scoreless in the middle innings to set up the dramatic finish. Ben Dandridge-Lemco led the Mudcats by pitching three shutout innings to open the game. |
