The Knights advanced to the second round of the playoffs with and 8-0 win marked by solid hitting, defense and dominant pitching. John Heil pitch three no hit innings, striking out 8 and allowing only a pop up to first. Alon August followed with nearly as dominating a performance, striking out 7 and allowing only a pop up back to the pitcher through 2 and 2/3 innings of work. With one out to go and a runner on first, the Crawfords broke the no hitter with a smash to the right center field fence by Jasper Drobenaire. Knights center fielder Greg Horn chased down the ball and threw it back to the pitcher. Pitcher Alon August fired the ball to catcher Jack Coppinger nailing the runner at the plate for the final out and preserving the shutout.

The Crawfords kept the game close for five innings with great defense and pitching by Kevin Conn, Grant Carson, and Andrew Moorhead. The Knights broke the game open in the 6th, scoring 6 times, before the Crawfords recorded the third out in a rundown between second and third.

In the first inning with two outs and two runners on base, Cyrus Hutchinson hit a smash to center field, where the Crawfords center fielder Dante Hamm made a diving catch to record the third out and save two runs.
